Home sleep test

How is the home sleep apnea test and polygraph recording carried out?
Following a prescription for a test, you can make an appointment with one of our respiratory therapists. The specialist will guide you through the steps of the process. The polygraphic sleep recording is carried out in the comfort of your home.
This equipment includes an abdominal belt and a chest belt, for recording nocturnal respiratory movements. It also includes a pulse oximeter placed on the tip of the index finger, to analyze oxygen in the blood. In addition, a nasal cannula captures the air flow during nighttime breathing. All these sensors are connected to an electronic box fixed to the bust, a box which records the data. Setting up this equipment only takes about ten minutes.
Then the patient spends as normal a night as possible. The next day, he brings the equipment with the sleep recordings to the specialist so that the data can be analyzed by a pulmonologist.
